WorkLens Activity Tracker ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Chrome extension for employee productivity analytics.

2.1 Automatically Collected Data:
- Website URLs you visit during active tracking sessions
- Page titles of visited websites
- Domain names of visited websites
- Timestamps of website visits
- Duration spent on each website
- Browser activity metrics (clicks, mouse movements, idle time)
2.2 User-Provided Information:
- Employee ID selected from dropdown
- Employee name and email (for account association)
2.3 Data We DO NOT Collect:
- ❌ Keystrokes or typed content
- ❌ Screenshots or visual recordings
- ❌ Personal messages or email content
- ❌ Credit card or financial information
- ❌ Passwords or authentication credentials
- ❌ Content from secure pages (banking, medical, etc.)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely for:
- Generating productivity analytics and insights
- Calculating engagement scores
- Categorizing activities as productive/unproductive
- Providing reports to authorized managers/administrators
- Improving system performance and accuracy

- All data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database)
- Data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Database access is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Only authenticated users can access their own data
- Regular security audits and updates

We DO NOT:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share data with advertisers
- Use data for marketing purposes
- Provide data to unauthorized parties
We MAY share data with:
- Your designated managers/administrators (within your organization only)

- Activity data is retained for 90 days by default
- Historical analytics summaries retained for 1 year
- Users can request data deletion at any time
- Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days

You have the right to:
- Access your collected data

- Export your data in CSV format
- Disable the extension without penalty

- The extension icon shows tracking status (active/inactive)
- No background tracking when extension is disabled
